1. Abstract
Most startups begin as an idea that someone never acts on, and most ideas that do get built make nobody rich except the people who build them. Proof of Idea changes the ownership of the very first step. Anyone can register an idea for $2. An AI analyst checks the live market for duplicates, demand and willingness to pay. Original ideas are fingerprinted on Solana from the owner's wallet, which proves who had the idea first without revealing it.
Fees from the $POI token and from registrations flow into a treasury that splits them automatically: 50% funds the highest-scored ideas, 20% pays for the AI that analyses and builds them, 20% buys back and burns $POI, and 10% funds the team and growth. When a company is built on a registered idea, the idea's owner receives 5–10% of it.
2. The problem
- Ideas are unprotected. Sharing an idea to get feedback or funding is exactly how it gets copied. There is no cheap, neutral proof of who thought of it first.
- Validation is expensive. Finding out whether an idea already exists and whether anyone would pay for it takes weeks of research most people never do.
- The person with the idea gets nothing. AI-coin launchpads let anyone fund an agent that builds something, but the products are small experiments and the person who brought the idea owns nothing.
- Investors don't fund napkins. Capital arrives once there is a product, users and data. The gap between idea and that stage is where almost every idea dies.
3. How it works
3.1 Register
The owner connects a Solana wallet and describes the problem, the solution, the customer and the business model. Only the title and a one-line pitch are ever public. A registration costs $2, sold in packs of 5 for $10, which keeps the registry free of spam and pays for the analysis. After the token launch there are two more ways in: pay in $POI at 20% off, or lock $POI for a free monthly quota (section 6).
3.2 Validate
An AI analyst searches the live web for existing products, evidence of demand and pricing. It returns a scored report: originality, market demand, willingness to pay, feasibility and how much of the build AI can do, plus the similar products it found, the risks and a plan to reach a first paying customer. The report is written in the owner's language. Ideas that already exist are not stamped as original.
3.3 Prove
The full submission is hashed with SHA-256 and the owner's wallet writes the hash to Solana in a memo transaction (poi:v1:<hash>). The idea stays private, yet anyone can later verify that this exact text was registered by this wallet at this time. The first 100 ideas carry a permanent Founding Idea badge.
3.4 Rank
Registered ideas form a public registry ranked by AI score. The top of the registry is the pipeline the treasury invests in.
4. The incubator: from 0 to 20
Investors pay for evidence, not ideas. The incubator takes each funded idea from zero to what we call “twenty”: a shipped MVP, real users, measured demand, known problems solved and a plan for what scaling needs. At that stage the company can be offered to investors who take it from 20 to 100.
Project #001: What to Wear
The first project is built by the team by hand, as a professional reference for every project that follows. What to Wear is a personal stylist for the clothes people already own: a virtual closet, a daily look matched to the weather, outfits for events with wash and iron reminders, and, next, budget-aware shopping and home try-on. It is live at wear.proofofideas.com.
Every project after #001 goes through the automated pipeline described in sections 9 and 10: selected by rules, funded in milestones and built increasingly by AI agents.
5. Idea-owner equity
When the treasury funds an idea and a company is formed around it, the registered owner is offered 5–10% of the founding equity under a signed Idea Submission Agreement. The on-chain fingerprint is the owner's proof of authorship. Equity is subject to dilution in later funding rounds like any founder share.
6. The $POI token
- Network: Solana. Launch: fair launch on pump.fun. Supply: 1,000,000,000, fixed at creation and reduced by every burn.
- Team allocation: 10%, bought by the team in the launch transaction on the same bonding curve as everyone else, then locked on-chain with an audited lock contract: nothing unlocks for 3 months, then it vests linearly over 12 months. The lock is published with the contract address.
- Pay with $POI: idea registrations paid in $POI cost 20% less, and every token paid this way is burned.
- Lock for access: holders who lock $POI for 90 days get a monthly quota of free registrations. Tokens are locked in an audited lock contract that pays back to the holder's own wallet, so the platform never takes custody. There is no early withdrawal and no yield: locking buys access, not income. Ideas registered during the lock stay registered for good.
- Governance and access: voting on which top-scored ideas are funded next, and early access to every product the incubator ships.
- What it is not: $POI is not equity and gives no claim on any incubated company, its revenue or its profits.
7. Fee flow
Two income streams feed the treasury: the creator fee on every $POI trade and idea-registration payments.
- 50% · Idea investment
- Funds MVPs, customer tests and early growth for the highest-scored ideas, released in milestones.
- 20% · AI & automation
- Pays for the AI analyst and the agents that build products, so the platform becomes more automatic over time.
- 20% · Buyback & burn
- Buys $POI on the open market and sends it to burn. Supply only goes down.
- 10% · Team & growth
- Runs the incubator and pays for growth: marketing, creator partnerships and campaigns.
Rollover rule
The AI & automation budget is capped by what the platform actually uses. Anything left unspent at the end of a calendar month is swapped to $POI and burned, so idle budget always returns value to holders instead of sitting in a wallet.
8. Growth & referrals
Creators and partners grow the platform and are paid for it automatically, from revenue they bring in.
- App subscriptions: incubator apps such as What to Wear list at $10 a month. A partner code brings the price to $5; the partner earns $2 of every payment and the app keeps $3.
- Payouts: sent automatically in USDC on Solana, visible on-chain, after a short hold that covers refunds. Self-referrals are not paid.
- Campaigns: ads and creator campaigns are funded from the team & growth share of the fee flow.
9. Treasury automation
A program we call the keeper runs on a fixed schedule and executes the split without anyone pressing a button. Each run is logged with its transaction signatures on a public transparency page.
- Claim the accumulated $POI creator fees and collect registration payments.
- Split the total 50 / 20 / 20 / 10.
- Burn: swap the burn share to $POI through an on-chain aggregator and burn the tokens with the SPL burn instruction.
- AI & automation: move the share to the operations wallet that pays for compute.
- Investment: move the share to the investment multisig.
- Team & growth: move the share to the team & growth wallet.
- On the last day of the month, burn whatever the operations wallet did not spend (the rollover rule).
The keeper holds only what it needs for a single run. Long-term funds never sit in the keeper's wallet; they are forwarded to multisig wallets that require several independent signatures to move.
10. Investment engine
Deciding which ideas get funded is fully rule-based and public. Releasing the money happens in milestones through a multisig, so a single bug or a gamed score can never drain the treasury.
10.1 Eligibility
- Registered on-chain, with an “original” or “original twist” verdict.
- Overall AI score of at least 75 and at least 30 days in the registry.
- No wallet linked to the team, and one funded idea per owner per cycle.
10.2 Selection, every month
- Eligible ideas are ranked by AI score, then by $POI holder votes.
- Up to three ideas are selected per cycle; the investment pool is divided in proportion to their scores.
- The engine publishes the selection and the proposed amounts automatically.
10.3 Milestone release
- Tranche 1 (30%) — MVP built and live.
- Tranche 2 (30%) — first 100 active users or a validated waitlist.
- Tranche 3 (40%) — first revenue or a signed partnership.
Each tranche is a transaction proposed automatically to the investment multisig and executed once its signers confirm the milestone. Funds that a project does not unlock within six months return to the investment pool.
11. Safeguards
- Multisig custody for every long-term balance; the keeper's hot wallet is capped per run.
- A public kill switch that pauses the keeper if anything looks wrong, without touching funds in the multisigs.
- Slippage limits on every buyback, and burns split into smaller swaps when liquidity is thin.
- Sybil checks on registrations and votes, and scores audited by spot reviews before any funding round.
- Every transaction, burn and payout published on the transparency page and in a monthly report.
12. Roadmap
- Phase 0NowRegistry, on-chain proof and the website live. What to Wear built by hand as the reference project.
- Phase 1LaunchRegistry opens in 8 languages and a public community forms. Then $POI launches with the keeper running burns and splits automatically, a live transparency page, pay-with-$POI and locking.
- Phase 2AutomateInvestment engine selecting ideas monthly. AI agents build first MVPs with human review.
- Phase 3ScaleMost of the 0-to-20 pipeline run by agents. First incubated companies presented to investors.
13. Risks & disclaimer
This document describes a product under development; details will change. AI evaluations can be wrong. An on-chain fingerprint proves authorship of a text but is not a patent and cannot stop others from building similar products. Most startups fail, and incubated projects may never become companies or raise money.
$POI is a utility token. It is not a security, share or claim on any company, revenue or profit, and nothing here is investment advice. Crypto assets are highly volatile; only acquire what you can afford to lose. Availability may be restricted in some jurisdictions. Idea-owner equity exists only under a signed agreement.
